THE LANCE ARMSTRONG FOUNDATION I had the great pleasure of working with the Lance Armstrong Foundation this year creating portraits of cancer survivors. I was given creative control but limited space. The subject matter started me thinking about plants; how they survive the elements and manage to bloom every year. I tried to include a blooming plant in every shot with a subject who also had begun to bloom again.
