ROBERT DOWNS BIOGRAPHY by Dawn Jarocki Robert Downs was born in Atlanta, Georgia in July of 1965. His father, Billy Downs, worked as a photographer for the Atlanta Journal and Constitution for nearly forty years. It was the time spent with his father on the shoots and at the office that was the basis for Robert's creative and professional interest in photography. When asked when it was that photography turned from a hobby to a profession pathway, Robert responded, "I always wanted to be a photographer...always. I would beg my Dad to take me to work with him."  |
